Utah funds psychedelic research focused on veterans and PTSD
Utah is taking a conservative research-first approach instead of broader public access to psilocybin services.
Utah authorized state-funded psychedelic research focused on veterans with PTSD. Compared with Oregon and Colorado, Utah’s approach is more conservative and research-based, using clinical-trial oversight rather than a broad adult-use service model.
For a Utah-based recovery business, this reinforces the need to avoid making medical claims and to frame psychedelic content as education, referral awareness, preparation, and integration support.
